Active Parenting of Teens is a newly revised program for parenting teens and 'tweens. This comprehensive, 15 hour/6 session course addresses today’s complicated day and age. Parents are provided with the specific tools needed to raise healthy teens in a tough culture. Using video clips, hands-on activities and group discussion, each session is packed with practical solutions to real life challenges.
P102 addresses:
- Winning cooperation and improving discipline skills
- Teens & technology (the Internet, social networking sites, etc.)
- Control versus influence
- Logical consequences for misbehavior
- Courage and self-esteem
- The latest in teen drug use (including prescription drugs); 9 strategies to reduce risks
- Teen bullying – hot to spot it, how to handle it
- Special stepfamily considerations
- How teen brain development affects teen behavior/decision making
- Updated teen sexuality issues
The class is limited in size to 15. Every parent who is raising a teen or tween can benefit from the information shared in the videos and discussions, and the encouragement and support that comes from being around other parents is often the best part of all! So whether parents are there for prevention or intervention purposes, they leave with the courage and confidence needed to raise a healthy teen.
