Operation: PARENT presents John and Emily Stewart who have been a step-family for over nine years. They will be facilitating a presentation based on the book by Ron L. Deal The Smart Step-Family, Seven Steps to a Healthy Family. Together they have presented and facilitated programs MERCY (the Marriage Education and Resource Center of Oldham County) and are excited about sharing helpful information full of real life experiences. They are dedicated to changing the statistic that indicates over 60% of step family marriages end in divorce. They also want to help you understand that you are not alone, one-third of all marriages today in the US create stepfamilies.
