At Operation Parent, we know that prevention starts long before a crisis—with casual, courageous conversations at home. When parents have the tools to talk openly and often, they create safe spaces where kids can grow, ask hard questions, and make healthy choices.
We believe parents are the greatest influence in a child’s life—and they shouldn’t have to figure it out alone. That’s why we’re here: to equip, encourage, and empower parents with the knowledge, confidence, and community they need to show up, speak up, and stay connected.
From expert-led webinars to our trusted Parent Handbooks, we make it easier to stay informed, start conversations, and keep kids safe.

Nicotine use among young people is shifting fast, and it’s not just about vaping anymore. Today’s landscape includes e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, and dual use that can make quitting even harder. In this webinar with Amy Taylor from Truth Initiative, we’ll break down what parents and caregivers need to know to stay ahead. You’ll learn why nicotine is so addictive, how it impacts developing brains and mental health, and why many young people who want to quit still struggle to do so. We’ll also explore the real reasons kids start and continue using nicotine, from social pressures to stress, and how those factors can become barriers to quitting. Most importantly, this session will focus on what you can do. Walk away with practical, nonjudgmental strategies to start meaningful conversations, help your child find their own motivation to not use and support them whether they’re trying to quit or not quite ready yet.
